Workout plan

My personal trainer is going off for 10 days to Bangkok! Boo hoo. I’ve enjoyed my sessions with her: she’s one tough cookie, but she really motivates me to work harder and push my body to limits I’d never thought possible to achieve. This is far cry from me, 2 months ago, when I literally had to drag myself to my personal training sessions (with another trainer- whom I ditched in favour of Ms. W, because I found out he was cheating me of my sessions, the louse!)

At first, when W told me she was going to be away, inwardly I was a little happy, because I thought, “Great, I can relax and let go! Eat pasta for a week and go nuts!” Alas, that wasn’t to be, because she’s drawing up a workout plan for me, which I have to stick to while she’s away!

The plan includes eating healthy (which workout plan doesn’t?!), a minimum of 2 RPM classes a week, a minimum of 1 BodyCombat class a week and at least 3, 20-minute sessions each on the elliptical, set to Level 9 difficulty at a minimum of 110 spm. Groan…I’m not so sure I can handle 2 RPM classes without having a heart attack and collapsing onto the floor. I’m a compulsive cheater in RPM. I never turn up the resistance dials when the instructor tells us to, although I act like I do and pedal like crazy. People can tell, though, I know they can, but I don’t care as long as I look busy!

I’ve had a few sessions on the elliptical, and I’ve found them to be quite enjoyable, but it does get tiring after a while. The hardest part for me would be the first 5 minutes. After that, I think I can manage it pretty well, as long as I can watch Friends at the gym or have my iPod to listen to music!

Groan. The things people do to have a beautiful, fit body.
