I suppose that there is no sure-fire way to losing weight (if you’ve been like me and have done nothing but procrastinate for the past 2 years), except if you place a bet with your friends that you’ll lose 10 kgs in 3 months. I have no idea what possessed me to do it: I have no idea if I’ll be successful. The premise of the bet is simple: E, J and I pool a hundred bucks each, CC holds it as stakeholder. We were to have a weigh-in on 1 December 2007 (only I did!) with our personal trainers or at the gym, so that CC could hold our verified print-outs from the weighing machine. At the end of 3 months, i.e. on or before 29 February 2008, we have another weigh-in to see who has lost the most weight, the minimum being 10 kgs. The winner, i.e. the person who has lost the most weight, takes all the money in the pool. In addition to that, if either one of us does not meet the minimum 10 kg weight loss requirement, an additional hundred bucks is added on to the pool. The winner potentially has the chance to win five hundred bucks! Easy-peasy.
E, J and I are bad for each other. We’re constantly trying to sabotage each other’s diets and workout plans. But I’ve persevered so far, it has been 3 days and I’m still surviving. I do, however, feel that I need some assistance (which isn’t prohibited!) so I am planning to go get myself some diet pills later tonight! Something that will help burn my stubborn fats and increase my metabolic rate at the same time.
We’ll see what happens after 3 months. Hopefully, I shall emerge the winner! God knows I need to lose more weight than the both of them combined.
