My BFF is going on a holiday! Or rather, she’s attending an all-expense paid trip for 10 days to attend a course in Los Angeles. The course itself is already something to shout about, for geeky lawyers like us. A full, 10-day drafting, negotiation and comprehensive course on cross-border transactions, especially pertaining to mergers & acquisitions. Sounds legalistic? You bet. But an opportunity like this only comes once in a lifetime, and therefore, should not be missed. So, yes, BFF has been selected by her firm to attend this once-in-a-lifetime course.
After the course, though, is when the fun begins, because she will be taking a possible 1 month break to travel around some states in the US! Whoopee. I wish I had that opportunity. So we’ve been talking lots about it, I intend to live vicariously through her, and make her share her experiences with me, since Hubby and I have decided to can our trip to LA at the end of this year. Like the total geek that I am, I’ve been surfing for online travel guides to share with her. I suspect she’s probably experiencing a culture overload right now- plus an email overload too.
Sigh. Holidays are wonderful. I only wish we could take them more often.
